Lodz Meetings Concerning Law, Taxes and TSL Industry are held to share expertise in legal and tax solutions which improve the functioning of transport-shipping-logistics companies. The conference will be held on December 10, 2015 in the Lodz Special Economic Zone.

During the few hour meeting, the participants will have a chance to listen to many presentations on tax law, which – due to their wide range of topics – have been divided into four separate thematic blocks.

The first one will focus on a business succession in transport companies. Speakers – experienced and practicing lawyers – will present all aspects of building a succession plan, from legal to organizational issues.

In the second block, emphasis will be given to the international supply of goods, especially within the scope of applying the INCOTERMS rules (International Commercial Terms) and the CMR Convention (Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road). Individual presentations will deal with the biggest threats resulting from applying different regulations and the solutions that help make running a transport business easier, including obtaining EU grants.

The third thematic block will focus on the rules of recording company cars used for private purposes.

The fourth block will entirely deal with the most important tax issues relevant for the TSL industry – both with regard to income tax and tax on goods – including but not limited to:

  • the rules of proper preparation of contracts for foreign entities,
  • recording purchases of fuel for different kinds of vehicles,
  • VAT refund for international transportation services,
  • VAT audits in transport companies.

The participation in Lodz Meeting Concerning Law, Taxes and TSL Industry is a perfect opportunity to learn and understand the biggest threats facing transport companies today. The expertise acquired will allow to develop and implement the most effective strategy to counteract the effects of a potential crisis, to improve the functioning of a company and to strengthen its strong position in the market.
