The 3rd edition of the Podkarpacki Ultramarathon is over! 4 routes, nearly 500 participants and one common goal: to cross the finish line. OMEGA Pilzno was a co-organizer of this one of the most important sport events in the region.
We have supported the organization of the Podkarpacki Ultramarathon for 3 years. Every year one of the attractions during the event is OMEGA Pilzno town — a tent full of games prepared especially for children who support their relatives during the run. Tiger Omegus was children’s playmate.
While the adult competitors were covering a distance, the children were enjoying their time exploring the world of Omega Pilzno. With the help of Tiger Omegus and colorful books, they discovered the secrets of a driver’s job and learned the fundamentals of road safety. We also organized contests. Each child was awarded for painting a picture or completing a task described in the book. The prizes were company safety gadgets, such as safety reflectors useful when riding a bike or walking with parents. All children received balloons with a picture of Tiger Omegus on them.

The 3rd edition of the Podkarpacki Ultramarathon started at dawn. 115km runners began the run as the first ones at 2 am. Intermediate 50km and 70km runners started their race several hours later, at 5 am. This year’s innovation was a 30km run intended for beginners. The female winner of the 115km race was Patrycja Bereznowska. The male winner was Andrzej Zyskowski, who was also the first in the general ranking (Patrycja Bereznowska won the silver medal).
The participation in the Podkarpacki Ultramarathon is a challenge accepted by more and more running lovers every year. Our organizational support proves that we engage in activities that promote active lifestyle. See you on the next 4th edition of the Podkarpacki Ultramarathon!
