Working time of drivers is discussed in detail in the EU Council Regulation No. 561/2006. They set for example: daily driving time, required break in driving and a minimum length of the rest of the driver during and after the journey. Existing laws uphold the rights of drivers, as well as the safety of all road users. Knowing them will allow you to avoid any unpleasantness during road checks in the form of large fines.
An employer wishing to employ a foreigner who does not have Polish citizenship in the field of international transport, must first obtain a driver’s certificate.
What is the driver’s certificate?
This certification, under which a driver who is not a citizen of an EU member state, is allowed to work as a licensed international transporter of goods in a transport company operating on the Polish territory.
