The last meeting of “OMEGA Academy” before holiday is over! On May 18, the students of the Rzeszow University of Technology visited our shipping office and a warehouse in Mokrzec.
The topics covered during the workshops included transport in a broad sense, shipping and logistics – the key aspects of our business. Thanks to that all students, despite their different career plans in the TSL sector, learned more about the jobs they were interested in.
The group leader was Ewa Ptaszek, the Head of the Customer Service Department. In the beginning the students visited our machine park. Thanks to the conversation with Grzegorz Domanski, the Technical Administrator of the Delivery Department, they enriched their theoretical knowledge with practical information concerning the use of machines and equipment.
The next point on the agenda was a visit to the Shipping Department. Under the supervision of Mateusz Wojtula, acting Head of Transport in the Slovakia Department, our guests could see how the daily work of a shipper looks like. Ewa Ptaszek talked about good practices of establishing and developing stable relationships with customers. Moreover, thanks to Jacek Szumowicz, the VOLVO Service Manager, the students visited the service facilities and got familiar with the full range of the services provided.

During the trip, the students also visited the high storage warehouse in Mokrzec which is a part of the Podkarpackie Logistics Park of OMEGA Pilzno. In this way they could see how the key logistics processes are planned and implemented. At the end of the all-day trip, all participants received a brochure about the “OMEGA Academy” program, including information about internships and on-the-job trainings in our company.
The 1st series of meetings organized as part of “OMEGA Academy” is over. Now we are working on a program of the next edition. The great interest in our meetings is the best motivation for us to do more. We would like to thank all of you for your participation in the meetings and hope to see more of you in the next semester!
